Check out WNC's Yarn Crawl, a family-friendly exploration of various yarn shops in Asheville that shows off 11 different yarn shops in the Asheville area. The Yarn Crawl kicks off May 2 and continues through May 7. 

Bring your mom to a special fair May 7 and learn something new at the Maker Faire Asheville. The entire family can get hands-on as they learn from crafters, educators, hobbyists, engineers, artists, authors, scientists and others about various crafts! All of these “makers” come to Maker Faire to show what they have made and to share what they have learned. With an emphasis on interactive, hands-on exhibits, people of all ages will leave inspired to make something of their own.

Also known as Paris of the South for its outdoor dining, Asheville is the perfect place to simply snag a table at a sidewalk café and people watch while you share a meal and dessert.
