Municipal Building
A plaque honors James Vester Miller, a son of slaves and master brick mason and artisan for the Municipal Building as well as for other projects in the city including Hopkins Chapel, Mount Zion and Saint Matthias churches. Cornucopias above the side entrance of the Municipal Building mark the entrance to the former City Market, offering produce and meats between 1926 and 1932.
