Asheville nightlifeAsheville has a thriving and vibrant nightlife scene, ranging from wine bars to friendly, neighborhood brewpubs to sidewalk cafes and coffee shops. Downtown Asheville is especially funky and fascinating after dark, with street musicians and the popular long-running drum circle. Local playhouses present comedies, dramas and musical nightly.

The local live music scene is amazing for a city of this size, recently attracting the likes of the Smashing Pumpkins as part of just a two-city tour in Asheville and San Francisco.
