South Asheville sits closest to the tournament action, and during Biltmore Championship Asheville Week, it turns that front-row seat into a party.

Just up the road from The Cliffs at Walnut Cove, South Asheville is the neighborhood built for game day. Between the championship celebration at Biltmore Park, peaceful green space at the Arboretum to chill out between tee times, and a full slate of places to stay and unwind, its partners have put together deals worth planning a day around. Start here:

1 Day
13 Experiences
1

Morning | Fuel Up

Start the day fed. Green Sage Cafe South is running its tournament-week trio, a Birdie Breakfast Burrito, a Caddie Snack Wrap, and a 19th Hole Watermelon Cooler.

2

All Day | The 19th Hole at Biltmore Park

The centerpiece is Biltmore Park Town Square and its free celebration, The 19th Hole. Minutes from the course and open to everyone, no ticket required, it runs daily with a large screen playing the tournament, a live band each day, and extended hours from the shops and restaurants around the square. If you bought parking at Biltmore Park, shuttle service runs to and from Walnut Cove, so you can watch a round, then land right in the middle of the party. Then take a quick trip over to Sierra Nevada’s sprawling campus for a cold beer and some shareable lunch options on the outdoor patio overlooking the French Broad River.

Afternoon | Green Space, Fresh Air and Putt Putt

When you want to trade crowds for quiet, the North Carolina Arboretum and the trails of Bent Creek are close by, featuring 65 acres of cultivated gardens rolling into the Pisgah National Forest. After a hike, head over to Lakeview Putt and Play, where you and your friends can show off your PGA pro potential with their foursome fun pack for only $40, which includes four rounds of golf and four slushies.

4

Wind Down | Salt and Skin, Shopping and Dinner

The Salt Spa of Asheville and Himalayan Salt Cave Sanctuary is built for deep relaxation, with dry salt-air breathing included in every salt cave package, well suited to couples, families, and small groups. Check out FLOW Bodyworks for private yoga classes or therapeutic massage. If retail therapy is more your thing, Tanger Outlets will have deals and coupons for select retailers posted on their website during tournament week. Then head to Biltmore Park for dinner at Posana, featuring a menu of contemporary cuisine with local ingredients. Or head to The Flying Squirrel Pub for elevated bar food and a relaxed environment. Don’t miss weekly trivia on Tuesday and music bingo on Thursday.

Where to Stay | Settle Into the South Side

Asheville Cabins of Willow Winds is offering 15% off lodging during the championship, a wooded, unhurried stay with the course and the square both within easy reach. For something more traditional, Hampton Inn and Suites - Biltmore Area is stacking its PGA TOUR package with 10,000 bonus points, two welcome drinks, and a late checkout. Bent Creek Lodge, which bills itself as the closest inn to the course, welcomes you back each day with a free bottle of wine, an evening charcuterie spread, and grab-and-go breakfast. And Hilton Garden Inn Asheville South offers its 19th Hole Retreat: welcome drinks, a $40 food-and-beverage credit, 15,000 bonus points, and a late checkout.
