Weaverville keeps a small-town Main Street feel ten miles north of the city, and during Biltmore Championship Asheville Week, it makes for an easy change of pace.
A walkable downtown of shops, a longtime pizza parlor, a handful of breweries, and a good bakery, Weaverville is the perfect place for an unhurried afternoon. A few spots have rolled out deals for the week. Here’s where to go.
Morning | Main Street, Slowly
Start with something warm from Well-Bred Bakery, then walk Main Street at a browsing pace. Keep an eye out for the town's Asheville Butterfly Trail station, one of several pollinator stops scattered across the area. For a little history, the nearby Vance Birthplace tells an older Weaverville story on a green and quiet hillside, and green thumbs can make a short trip out to Flat Creek Plant Farm for a wander among the growing beds.
Afternoon | Lunch With Live Music
Settle in at Blue Mountain Pizza and Brew Pub, a Main Street icon for more than 20 years, with hand-thrown dough, small-batch beer, homemade ice cream, and free live music. If the wait is long (and it often is), Twisted Laurel is another great option right around the corner.
Evening | Unwind Your Way
Weaverville pours above its weight. Post up at Eda's Hideaway, the Weaverville home of Eda Rhyne Distilling Co., for craft spirits, cold beer, live music, and a game of shuffleboard, or grab a pint at Leveller Brewing. For a mellower reset after a day on your feet, Vintage Kava serves kava and botanical brews, no alcohol required, in a plant-filled room on Reems Creek Road.
