Celebrate Independent Retailer Month this July by taking part in the 2025 Asheville Indie Retail Challenge, a fun and easy way to explore Asheville’s incredible indie shopping scene—and win a basket of Asheville-made goodies while you’re at it!
Step-by-Step: How to Join the Indie Retail Challenge
- Download the (free!) Explore Asheville App
Find it on the App Store or Google Play.
- Navigate to the Indie Retail Challenge page
Click on the icon labeled "Indie Retail Challenge" on the home screen.
- Visit any shop on the list
All participating local retailers are included right in the app.
- Check in at the shop
When you arrive, tap “Check In Now” on that shop’s app listing.
- Repeat at five shops to qualify
Check in at five indie retailers during July to be entered to win.
- More shops = more chances
Every additional check-in = an extra entry into the prize drawing.
- Win a basket of local treasures!
One winner will be drawn from qualified entries in early August and notified via email.
