What's the best way to celebrate Easter in Asheville?

Spend Saturday morning at Egg-stravaganza at the WNC Nature Center

April 4, 2026 | 10 a.m. to noon

The WNC Nature Center’s Egg-stravaganza adds a playful wildlife twist to the weekend. Kids can follow an egg scavenger hunt, then catch bobcats, black bears and otters enjoying themed enrichment while docents share animal facts throughout the park. The event is included with general admission.

Sweeten Creek Brewing for Easter at the Creek

April 4, 2026 | 1-4 p.m.

For a casual, family-friendly Saturday outing, Sweeten Creek Brewing is hosting Easter at the Creek with two rounds of egg hunts, outdoor games, live music, volleyball, a kids’ sandbox and an open dog park. Bear’s BBQ will be serving food on-site, which makes this an easy linger-awhile afternoon.

Biltmore Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt 

April 3-5, 2026

Discover giant Easter eggs in the gardens inside Biltmore House and in Antler Hill Village. Biltmore's Easter egg scavenger hunt is a beloved annual springtime tradition. Learn fun facts about the estate while you search for 25 super-sized decorated eggs. The Easter Scavenger Hunt is included with daytime admission.

70th Easter Sunrise Service at Chimney Rock State Park

One of the region’s longest-running Easter traditions returns for its 70th year on Sunday morning. Chimney Rock’s nondenominational sunrise service is free, but reservations and a vehicle parking pass are required in advance. For visitors who do not mind an early start, it is one of the most memorable ways to greet Easter morning in the mountains.
