The tour was awesome. So much history and the rooms are amazing. They do a great job with trolleys to the estate and to the conservatory. Just be aware if you have anyone in your group that struggles with walking it can be a lot. The house is huge. Staff members were exceptional. My only negative was the complementary wine tasting. It might have been what time we went which was around 4:00pm. Our party stood in line for twenty minutes. No one was let in and no one came out. We left and went over to the restaurant and ordered our own wine and charcuterie board and had a wonderful time.

Such a beautiful place.  Truly a majestic home.  The tour is long and sometimes a bit stuffy but they have fans helping the air circulate.  The gardens are unbelievable.  Absolutely stunning.

Beautiful estate, amazing history, and an even better view of the mountains. However, the AC did not work, so be sure to bring your handheld fan or neck fan. They sell misting fans in the gift shop, but I did not know they existed until after the walkthrough. Please let it be known that there are elevators for those who cannot do the million stairs, but only four people at a time, and it does not go to the basement. And not every set of stairs is covered. If you, or someone you are traveling with, is not going to be able to do stairs, I'm not sure if the steep price is worth it. Unless, of course, this is a dream destination. 
I think one of my biggest letdowns was the way the information was delivered. I prefer human-to-human information instead of the little machines delivering the information to me. The staff knows so much about the history of the house, and they are eager to chat about it. So, ask a worker if you visit. They will probably enjoy speaking with you.

Beautiful View, Some Flaws, Debatable if it's worth the $$$

I have heard about the beauty of the Biltmore and wanted to see it for many years. I had the opportunity to visit last week and was so glad I made the trip. The Biltmore is big, beautiful and lived up to my expectations. The Biltmore is the largest home ever built in America! I enjoyed the beautifully furnished rooms and beautiful flower gardens. The staff were friendly. The shuttle buses were a blessing but the day we were visiting I only saw them in the garden area once. There are many benches to sit in the garden area and some places in the home as well. There are beautiful terrace views of the mountains to see as well. The gardens feature many paths to walk , greenhouses and a garden gift shop. There are shops and restaurants on property. There is also a winery but it and Antler Hill village are located a short drive away.  If you want to see everything , you need to spend a full day there. I save a few dollars booking online.  There is an elevator as well as steps to climb. If you cannot climb steps  they show a video of what you can only see via steps. Hope to return someday to see the Biltmore at Christmas.
