Asheville, NC (March 7, 2025)—The Southern Conference (SoCon) Wrestling Championship returns to the mountains this weekend, with the road to the NCAA Championships running through Asheville during SoCon Week. Expect the thrill of upsets and a battle to be the best as nine teams step onto the mat at Kimmel Arena on the campus of UNC Asheville.

Schedule

Friday, March 7

  • 12:30 p.m. – Opening matches
  • 3 p.m. – Consolation first round
  • 3:30 p.m. – Consolation quarterfinals
  • 5 p.m. – Semifinals
  • 7:30 p.m. – Consolation semifinals 

Saturday, March 8

  • 12 p.m. – Consolation finals
  • 2:30 p.m. – Championship finals 
  • 5 p.m. – Awards ceremony

  • General admission – $15 for a single day, $25 for both days.
  • VIP mat-side seating (Saturday) – $125, which includes premium seating, hospitality access and a parking pass.

A portion of premium ticket sales supports the Always Asheville Fund, which aids local businesses recovering from Hurricane Helene.

The Explore Asheville SoCon Wrestling Championship is part of SoCon Week, running alongside the Ingles SoCon Basketball Championships.
