Take a deep breath and pop open a cold one, Asheville Beer Week is back!
The Asheville and Western North Carolina-centric event will take place May 16-26, 2024, highlighting the expanding and innovative world of craft beer and beverage in the region. The multi-day, multi-venue calendar will be filled with old favorites and new events, including collaboration releases, film screenings, beer dinners, educational seminars, brewer meet and greets as well as friendly brewery competitions.

May 16th - Asheville Beer Week Kickoff Party at Marquee Asheville - Join us on May 16th as we kick off AVL Beer Week! You must register to attend. Free drinks and bites with RSVP. May 16-23 - Beer Geek Tour - AVL Beer Week Edition at Sierra Nevada - Get ready for an intimate, 3-hour tour into the depths of what makes Sierra Nevada tick. This tour is ideal for beer lovers who already have basic beer knowledge and are looking for a behind-the-scenes look and taste of the Sierra Nevada facility. Admission: $75,
May 16-18 - BrewStiller|AVL: "BrewStillery | Essentials for Getting Started" at White Labs Brewing Co Asheville Kitchen and Tap - Learn the essential distilling skills and distilling business aspects you need to expand your brewing business into a distilling business. If you've considered distilling as a way to expand your current brewing business, this 3 Day Immersive Seminar is a must for you. 3-Day Seminar Price: $799
May 17 - Downtown After 5: Yacht Rock in Downtown Asheville - The 36th season of Downtown After 5, presented by Prestige Subaru, returns Fridays to downtown Asheville the 3rd Friday of the month from 5pm - 9pm April through September. DTA5 is held on North Lexington Avenue and events are free and open to the public.
May 20 - Beer Trivia at Green Man Brewery - Join us at Green Man Brewery for some beer themed trivia hosted by Not Rocket Science Trivia @ our 3rd floor taproom. For all of AVL Beer week, our flagship beers will all be $5 pints which includes out Green Man IPA, Porter, Lager, and ESB. Admission: Free
May 24 - Craft Beverage Expo & Tasting Experience at Battery Park Hall - The 2024 Craft Beverage Expo will be held in conjunction with the annual AVL Beer Week. With 30+ vendors and over 100 industry professionals all in one location, this will be the best place to meet leaders in the regional brewing arena and develop profitable business relationships. Asheville Beer Week + Foodtopians: The best of both worlds
This week is all about celebrating the best of Asheville’s craft beer scene, but the local culinary scene will also have its time to shine.

Compete During Asheville Beer Week
Is your six pack (of beer) getting in the way of your other six pack? First off, you’re beautiful the way you are. But if you’re looking to burn a few calories and have some active competition during Asheville Beer Week, there are several great options for competitive fun!
Highland Brewing will host Battle of the Breweries Volleyball Tournament on Sunday, May 19 at 12 p.m. in the Meadow. It’s $5 to play all day. Check in at the bar or the Highland Outpost.
Ready to run? Sign up for the Beer City 20K relay and 5k, sponsored by Green Man Brewing, where you and your team can compete on a 5K course through downtown Asheville. Race day is Saturday, May 25th with the first wave of runners beginning at 8 a.m.
