Harrah's Cherokee Center

The Harrah's Cherokee Center is located in the heart of downtown Asheville. Venues include a 6,300-seat arena, 25,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space and a 2,400-seat auditorium, among other meeting spaces.

Bob Lewis Ballpark

This Buncombe County sports facility and offers seven, fully-lit, artificial turf baseball and softball fields. Facility includes restrooms and full service concessions.

WNC Agricultural Center

The Western North Carolina Agricultural Center spans 87 acres and includes a 65,000 sq. ft. arena, a 45,000 sq. ft. event center, a 27,750 sq. ft. expo building and an additional 5,000 sq. ft. event building.

Buncombe County Schools Aquatic Center

The 17,380-square-foot building features a 10-lane, 400,000 gallon climate-controlled pool. The center also includes 420 spectator seats, a state-of-the-art timing and scoreboard system, UV water filtration, and numerous energy-efficient design features.

UNC - Asheville

The Sherrill Center, located on the campus of UNC-Asheville, is a 133, 500 sq. ft. facility with the state-of-the-art Kimmel Arena that seats up to 4,000 for symposiums and 3,400 for basketball games. Also on campus is the Justice Center, an additional 1,100 seat arena, and Greenwood Baseball Field, a 1,000-seat lighted field.

Pulliam Stadium/Howard Fisher Memorial Field

Located on Montreat College's Black Mountain campus, Howard Fisher Memorial Field serves as home to the men's and women's soccer, lacrosse, and track & field teams.

Veterans Park in Black Mountain

This park in Black Mountain offers an18-hole disc golf course, paved greenway, and walking trails. This facility has five athletic fields including a youth soccer field, two baseball fields, two softball fields with concessions and restrooms.

John B. Lewis Soccer Complex

The John B. Lewis Soccer Complex is located on 155 acres and includes four turf soccer fields, two baseball fields, restrooms, support facilities and an extensive greenway system.

Buncombe County Sports Park

The Buncombe County Sports Park has seven soccer fields, a sand beach volleyball court, bocce ball courts, a disc golf course, concession areas, restrooms, bocce ball courts and great mountain views.

Aston Park Tennis Center

A few short blocks from downtown Asheville, this verdant park venue, the Aston Park Tennis Center, offers 12 lighted clay courts, considered some of the finest in the U.S.

Highest Peaks in the East & Third Oldest River

Surrounded by one million acres of forest and the highest peaks in the east, Asheville is heaven on earth for outdoor aficionados. With hundreds of miles of trail in national forests, Asheville is a mecca for mountain bikers, trail runners and hikers. Scenic mountain roadways also attract both professional and amateur road cyclists and events. The French Broad River, the world's third oldest river, offers canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding within city limits.

McCormick Field

McCormick Field is home to the Asheville Tourists professional minor league baseball club.  This single A team is an affiliate of the Colorado Rockies organization. ESPN.com has named it one of "10 quintessential road tours that capture the best of the majors and minors." The stadium has a capacity of 4,000.

Carrier Park

This expansive multi-use park has a little something for everyone. Park amenities include volleyball courts, playground, roller-hockey rink, basketball court, a multi-use track, lawn bowling court, greenway access, multi-use sports field, picnic shelter, river overlooks, wetland education area and a ballfield.

The Riveter

The Riveter boasts a full-service rock climbing gym, outdoor dirt jump lines, tap room, fitness studio, infrared-heated yoga studio, retail shop, community workspaces, youth programs, special events
and outdoor seating with epic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Riveter’s mission is to provide an inclusive space with outdoor adventure training opportunities for all ages and skill levels to foster confidence, inspiration, community and a mutual stoke for adventure.

Asheville Municipal Golf Course

The Asheville Municipal Golf Course is one of the oldest golf courses in Western North Carolina. The 18-hole golf course designed by Hall of Fame golf architect Donald Ross opened for play in 1927. The par 36 front nine, measuring 3,246 yards from the back tees, features a flat, wide-open course allowing the use of a driver on every hole. Meanwhile, the 3,194-yard back nine has narrow fairways that also play to a par 36. The back nine favors accuracy over distance. (All tees are a par 72).

The Cliffs at Walnut Cove

Designed by Jack Nicklaus, this beautiful 18-hole golf course has been featured by the PGA Tour and has been given awards from popular publications like Golf Digest and Golfweek as one of North Carolina’s best courses.

Reems Creek Golf Club

Reems Creek Golf Club is in Weaverville, 10 minutes north of Asheville, and offers a secluded setting that captures the splendor and beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Reems Creek has been regularly rated at 4 stars on Golf Digest’s prestigious “Places to Play” list. Most of the holes on this par-72 mountain course have elevation changes that test your ability to pick the right club to fit the terrain. You’ll also find that most of the par-4s are target holes that require accuracy and strategy. Reems Creek offers the unique opportunity to play on all Bentgrass turf.

Black Mountain Golf Course

Black Mountain Golf Club is located at the foot of the beautiful Black Mountain Range. This 6,215-yard par 71 18-hole facility is the home to the 747-yard, par 6 17th hole, which at one time was the longest hole in the world.

Crowne Plaza Resort Golf Course

Scenic and challenging best describes this nine-hole golf course located on 125-acres and only one mile from downtown Asheville. An iron only practice range and Pro Shop is available with an option to play nine or 18 holes.

Golf Course at The Omni Grove Park Inn

The 6,400-yard championship course, in the shadow of the famed Omni Grove Park Inn, has been played by PGA stars Bobby Jones, Ben Hogan and Jack Nicklaus and even President Obama. Feel a sense of pride and accomplishment after navigating the tree-lined fairways and bent greens with amazing views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Elevated tee boxes on the par-70 course provide perfect sight lines for each drive.
