  • Some of the best days in the Blue Ridge start on a trail and end with a glass of wine. Summit to Sip is Pinecrest's private guided day tour, offered spring through fall when the mountain trails and vineyard patios are at their most inviting.

    After a plated breakfast at Pinecrest, your private guide Dave of Hike Bike Kayak Asheville leads your group to the 4,232-foot summit of Bearwallow Mountain — a moderate 2.1-mile loop with sweeping views of the Blue Ridge in every direction. From the trailhead, Dave drives you south into the Crest of the Blue Ridge AVA for an afternoon guided tasting at Marked Tree Vineyard in Flat Rock, where the patio views pick up right where the summit left off.

    Private transportation, local expertise, and a summit snack are included. Tasting fees are paid directly at the vineyard. Available for Pinecrest guests through late November, for up to four guests per tour.
