New Year’s Eve with The Avett Brothers (Dec. 31) — North Carolina natives Seth and Steve Avett are ringing in 2026 in Asheville. The Grammy-nominated Americana band will be performing at the ExploreAsheville.com Arena at Harrah’s Cherokee Center Asheville, on Dec. 31 with special guest The Infamous Stringdusters.
Mystical Masquerade – The Omni Grove Park Inn — Step into an evening of romance, mystery, and grandeur at the Mystical Masquerade at Grove Park — a New Year’s Eve celebration inspired by the timeless allure of Phantom of the Opera. Their New Year's Eve packages offer a night of culinary delight and unforgettable entertainment. Choose your experience and be transported to a magical evening under the stars.
Early NYE Party – The Whale — The West Asheville craft beer collective presents an early New Year's Eve party, with an early countdown and champagne toast at 9 p.m.
NYE with Electro Lust – The Grey Eagle, 9 p.m. — Shake your body into 2026 during a night with Electro Lust, an Asheville-based outfit comprised of a powerhouse of Grammy Award-winning artists. and members of Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band, The Fritz, and Empire Strikes Brass. Their high-energy sound delivers funk, Latin, Cuban, Afrobeat and a full brass section.
New Year's Eve at Red Ribbon Society: A Great Midnight Soiree — The Flat Iron Hotel - Enjoy an evening in the Red Ribbon Society, Asheville's exclusive underground speakeasy, for a Great Midnight Soiree New Year's Celebration. The $40 entrance fee comes with two cups of craft punch, food from Luminosa and a midnight champagne toast.
RJD2 at The Orange Peel — 8 p.m. RJD2 is a DJ/producer who creates R&B and soul-inflected soundscapes from obscure samples, presenting dance/electronic and hip-hop vibes.
New Year's Eve Four-Course Prix Fixe — Posana. Ring in the new year with a festive, four-course prix fixe dinner at Posana. Both locations—Downtown and Biltmore Park—will offer a special New Year’s Eve menu for $125 per person, with optional $50 wine pairings. A children’s menu is also available for $45.
Sneezy with Future Joy NYE Party! — Asheville Music Hall, 9 p.m. Born out of the vibrant Chicago music scene, Sneezy is a funk-soul jam band that knows no boundaries. Rooted in lifelong friendships and a shared love for collaboration, the band seamlessly blends funk grooves, neo-soul rhythms, hip-hop beats, and rock energy into a sound uniquely their own.
"Reelin' In The Years" NYE Yacht Rock Dance Party — One World Brewing — A Yacht Rock dance party celebrating the music of Steely Dan, Michael McDonald, Hall and Oates, Huey Lewis and more! Featuring members of the James Brown Dance Party, Jazz Is Phish, The Snozzberries, Rahm Squad

New Year's Day Special Events
Resolution Run 5K & 10K — Pack Square Park, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Get your running shoes on and bring in the new year with a refreshing race around the city on Jan. 1! The 11th Annual New Year's Resolution Run 5K & 10K takes runners through downtown and nearby North Asheville neighborhoods before heading back downtown to the finish line.
"Align & Awaken: Setting Intentions for the New Year" Yoga — West Asheville Yoga Studio On New Year's Eve at 11 a.m., Crista Rose leads a "Align & Awaken: Setting Intentions for the New Year" yoga session.
Sunrise at the Swinging Bridge — Grandfather Mountain — Celebrate the beginning of 2026 from a mile high! The New Year’s “Sunrise at the Swinging Bridge” event will provide guests with the rare opportunity to be in the park before regular operating hours and to hopefully witness a captivating sunrise from the Mile High Swinging Bridge – the first of 2026! $50 for general admission, $35 for children (ages 4-12) and $25 for members of Grandfather Mountain’s Bridge Club – plus tax. Limited to 150 participants.
