Riverfront Destination Development – RADTIP

A project of the City of Asheville, the River Arts District Transportation Improvement Project (RADTIP), redeveloped the River Arts District by creating the French Broad River Greenway Network (on the west bank) and a crosswalk and river access at Amboy Park. A later investment enhanced the southern section with roadway improvements, sidewalks, street trees, a protected bike lane, on street parking, public art and storm water improvements.

* The City of Asheville was originally awarded a total of $1.7 million in the 2015 cycle. The city withdrew the Beaucatcher Greenway from the scope reducing the award by $975,000.​
