For four days in August, Asheville will become the center of the musical world ― again.

The second annual AVLFest will take place throughout the city on Aug.1-4, featuring hundreds of musical acts in 20+ venues.

Presented by Wicked Weed Brewing and Worthwhile Sounds, AVLFest offers a unique array of local and national artists from bluegrass, Americana, electronica, hip hop and rock. 

On March 22, the organizers released the first wave of performers with the second half to be released later. Last year, 236 artists performed at the event. 

Topping the list of more than 160 artists announced so far for 2024 include: Papadosio, Beachwood Sparks, Town Mountain, Blitzen Trapper, SG Goodman, River Whyless, The Mother Hips, Susto, The Heavy Heavy, Jon Stickley, Trap Jazz, Daikaiju, Joslyn & the Sweet Compresssion, Toubab Krewe, Tyler Ramsey, Larry Keep Experience, Dylan LeBlanc, Crys Matthews, King Lazy Eye, Floating Action, Yarn, Bask, Dangermuffin, Tumbao, Gyasi, Boulevards, Free Planet Radio, Colby T. Helms, Jeff Sipe, Lyric, Joshua Quimby and Viv & Riley and Ismay.

There will be several new venues added to the list in 2024, spanning downtown to neighborhoods across Asheville. Those venues include Burial Beer Co.’s new music hall Eulogy, Jack of the Wood, The Odd and The Social. French Broad Brewery's outdoor stage will also be used. 

Nearly 8,000 tickets were sold for AVLFest in 2023. This year, the event is capped at 10,000 tickets.

Participating venues include (listed in order of capacity): Salvage Station, Highland Brewing Company, The Outpost, Burial Beer's Forestry Camp, The Orange Peel, New Belgium Brewing, The Grey Eagle, Wortham Center for the Performing Arts, Asheville Music Hall, Wicked Weed Brewing's FunkatoriumOne World West, The One Stop, Jack Of the Wood, 27 Club, The Odd, Fleetwood’s, The Cork and Keg, Alley Cat, French Broad River Brewery and more to be announced.

AVL FestHow to attend AVLFest 2024

  • Fans must purchase a four-day festival pass to gain access to all the concerts and venues in Asheville.

  • Regular admission is $135 with a maximum of six tickets per purchase and $250 for VIP access.
  • Performance showcases will take place throughout the week with wristbands granting passholders entry to 20+ Asheville venues, discounts at numerous local retailers and restaurants and presale access and discounts to AVLFest's headliner standalone events. 
  • Once purchased, a festival pass will be exchanged for a festival wristband upon arrival. Proof of purchase and corresponding identification will be required at check-in. The date and location of wristband kiosks will also be announced by July 1.
