Namaste in Nature has offered a wide range of special experiences on Mother's Day including vortex yoga hikes, yoga in the park, sunrise yoga at Chimney Rock State Park and yoga waterfall hikes. The Asheville Yoga Center offers regular Sunday classes each week.

Moms can check out a Forest Bathing Tour with Asheville Wellness Tours. In forest bathing, there's no water involved. Instead, you are invited to experience nature with all of your senses on a relaxing forest walk. 

The Omni Grove Park Inn is also offering a Mother's Day Tea Party on Saturday, May 11 that will feature local live music, delectable hors d'oeuvres and artisanal activities as well as a Mother's Day Sunday Brunch.

Celebrate their laughter and put that sense of humor to the test with Asheville Pizza and Brewing Company's Your Mama Mother's Day Jokes event on May 12 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Enjoy professional comics with catered sets for and about being and not being a mother. Asheville is lovingly known as Foodtopia is for its incredible array of dining options. Skip the cooking (and having to do the dishes!) at home and instead opt for savoring a meal out on the town. Many local restaurants offer special menus for Mother's Day.

Also known as Paris of the South for its outdoor dining, Asheville is the perfect place to simply snag a table at a sidewalk café and people watch while you share a meal and dessert.
