In 2008, arguably one of the harshest economic downturns since the Great Depression, life & circumstances turned from bleak into a golden opportunity for Steve and Donna Frellick. Steve, a General Contractor at the time and Donna a nurse in the Mission Hospital neonatal unit, were facing some difficult choices with several of their high end timber frame spec homes unsold, they chose to put these homes into a vacation rental program. This proved to be a wise decision as Yonder has grown to over 60 luxury properties in Asheville and the mountains of Western North Carolina and caters to thousands of guests from around the country and beyond.
