Tapestry of America - A Visual Journey Through America's National Parks

Photography and science unite in a celebration of America's most treasured national parks.
Tapestry of America is an interdisciplinary photography and biology project by Phoebe Carnes, a UNC Asheville student. Phoebe grew up only a stone's throw from Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and national parks have always been her inspiration. Over the past year she has traveled to national parks across the United States, including the Everglades, Yellowstone, Death Valley, Grand Teton, and more, collecting stories and images of the wildlife and wild places public lands protect.
Tapestry of America hopes to connect others to our incredible national parks and their wild inhabitants, and encourage all of us to continue being advocates for public lands. Join us on Friday, April 3rd, for a public lecture (5:30pm - 6:30pm) and gallery reception (6:30pm - 8:00pm).
