Frightful Folk Tales at Vance Birthplace

Join us at Vance Birthplace on Friday, Oct. 16 to get into the spirit of Halloween with spooky stories from Appalachia and beyond! Dr. Delanna Reed, professor emerita of Storytelling at East Tennessee State University, will bring these tales to life through spoken word from 7pm to 8pm. Visitors are welcome to bring a blanket or chair, and as the sun sets, they can take a seat around our campfire. These stories are suitable for ages 12 and up.
