CLASS: Meadmaking Workshop with Amber Shehan

Jan 24, 2026
3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
  • Join Amber Shehan from Pixie's Pocket as she guides you through the steps it takes to start a small batch of mead, watching its progress, how to know when it is ready to bottle, and the bottling and finishing process. This demonstration is great for anyone interested in learning to brew mead or those who have already started and need some guidance!

As we brew a batch of mead together, Amber will go in-depth into the main ingredients to make a simple mead: honey, water, and yeast. We'll also cover yeast nutrients, how to add fruit and herbs as flavorings, and other things that sound more complex than they are. Don't worry! It's easy. We'll have you brewing in no time! This class makes a great holiday gift, especially coupled with a Mead Kit!

An added perk: Class attendees will also receive a 15% off coupon for any quart of honey on our website or in-store (restrictions apply).

About Honey & the Hive's pricing tiers: To increase access to our classes and the knowledge they provide, we've decided to implement a tiered payment system for all our classes moving forward. Please pay at the level that works best with your budget! You will receive the same education regardless of which tier you pay at.
