Support River Arts District Artists Through Their Works

Asheville's community of artists and makers care deeply about everyone's health and well-being. With studios closed to visitors, Mark Bettis Studio & Gallery together with others in the River Arts District, recently launched a compassionate grass-roots initiative that’s providing much-needed financial aid to Asheville’s big-hearted community of artists. Dubbed #artistsupportpledgeRAD, participating local artists are offering original works in virtual marketplaces on Instagram and Facebook. Remarkable is that each piece’s price point doesn’t exceed a very accessible $200. In a collective pledge of support, participating artists promise that every time they achieve $1,000 worth of works sold, they will in turn buy a piece of art from another artist!

The role of buyer isn’t limited to artists, however — anyone who loves art or wants to support local artists can purchase. To explore artists’ work locally, search Facebook and Instagram with for #artistsupportpledgeRAD.
