• Local Cloth is an Asheville-based non-profit whose mission is to support and sustain the regional fiber and textile arts economy and professions in the Blue Ridge Mountains through collaboration, education and innovation. Come visit us in the River Arts District to see five resident artists, shop from 45 different local fiber artists, and consider signing up for a class to learn fiber techniques that connect you to the rich fiber arts history of our area!

Whether you want to visit local farms to see fiber animals or create a one-of-a-kind indigo-dyed garment, we'd love to create a customized fiber experience to fit your time and budget. Our artists and farmers are here to help make a memorable experience for your conference, staff outing, family reunion, wedding group or girls weekend in Asheville.

We host over 90 workshops and 100 interest groups each year! Workshops span the full spectrum of fiber arts and are offered in half-day, full-day and multi-day options. Interest Groups provide a space to be in community with like-minded fiber friends, ranging from study groups on fiber topics to hands-on circles where you bring your work-in-progress.
