The building itself is home to Asheville's largest indoor rock climbing facility featuring bouldering, autobelays, topropes, and lead routes appropriate for experts and beginners alike; The Asheville HangOut, a bar selling local brews and hosting events including trivia nights and movies; Earthsports Design, a local business manufacturing fine products for the outdoor enthusiast; yoga and Tai Chi classes for climbers and non-climbers; and organic local Dynamite Coffee and Mother Mountain Tea. We also offer several fabulous ways to explore the beautiful outdoors of Western North Carolina. Our partners Kolo Bikes and French Broad Outfitters rent bikes, SUPs, rafts, and kayaks on site for you to explore the French Broad River and nearby areas. Climbmax Mountain Guides also runs outdoor climbing, hiking, and backpacking trips to the surrounding mountains.
In addition to all of the individual/ family activities we offer, we also work with larger groups. Group climbing is a powerful tool to bring people together and enhance group dynamics. We offer a healthy and positive experience and help groups effectively meet their goals. We work with a wide range of groups and specialize in working with corporate groups, retreat groups, boy and girl scout troops, school groups, churches and mentoring programs.
