NC Stage Company is a 127-seat, off-broadway style professional equity theatre, producing 4-7 plays per season in the heart of Downtown Asheville. We have been committed to serving our audiences for nearly two decades through main stage shows and community engagement initiatives.
NC Stage has been twice recognized for artistic excellence by both the prestigious American Theatre Wing and the North Carolina Theatre Conference George A. Parides Award. The company was also voted best local theatre for 11 out of the past 13 years in the Mountain Xpress Best of WNC Poll. NC Stage has host 3 world premieres, including Stalking the Boogyman in 2013, Curvy Widow and Brave New World, both in 2016.
