Artistic expressions nourishes my soul. Yet from the age of 12 when I was publicly shamed for my drawing, I did not draw. At 70, I did what I call my "out of the box" experience. Overcoming a lifetime fear of public speaking, I performed in a local theater production. For 3 nights I proclaimed to a full house: "There is a lot more creativity waiting to express itself". My beloved art was freed once again to take flight. and soared with art classes that introduced me to the abstract art form called zentangle. Two years ago, I I became a Certified Zentangle Teacher because I wanted to show others how they could tap into their creativity with this Method.

My art has a vibrant and creative life of its own. I continue to be amazed at the simple ideas that appear in the middle of the night, upon awakening or during a walk which then dances from my pen to paper. I now have my art displayed at Riverview Station and Woolworth Walk downtown and my cards can be purchased at West Village Market in West Asheville.
