
Grata (Italian for Grateful) is a one year old pizzeria located inside the taproom at Upcountry Brewing! We make all of our pizza dough, sauces, dressings, and other items from scratch daily, using the highest quality ingredients available from our local vendor partners, such as Hickory Nut Gap and Mountain Food Products. Our pizza dough is made daily, using locally milled Carolina Ground flour and fresh sourdough starter that originated from Fisherman’s Wharf, San Francisco. Our sauce is made with a combination of fresh tomatoes (local when in season) and traditional Italian San Marzano style tomatoes grown in the California Valley. Our toppings are responsibly sourced using a combination of products from some of the best manufacturers in the industry, as well as locally sourced meats and produce. All of our pizzas are cooked with an open flame in our 700 degree oven. Guests may build their own, or choose from one of the delicious pizza creations on our menu, such as the Farmer’s Market Pie! The Farmer’s Market Pie will be a weekly creation inspired by the amazing products we find on our Tuesday afternoon trips to the West Asheville Tailgate Market!
