Folk Heritage Committee

Founded by Bascom Lamar Lusford in 1928, the Moutnain Dance Folk Festival shocases real mountain performers. As the nation's longest running festival, this 3-day event features an exhilarating mix of clogg dancers, old time string bands, ballad singers, and storytellers. The festival has played a fundmental role in preserving and sharing mountain traditions and culture.
