Asheville's only authentic Therapeutic Salt Cave and Spa is a family owned and operated business in Downtown Asheville. It is the first and only authentic Salt Cave in North Carolina, bringing healing through relaxation, rejuvenation and balance of the body and mind. Our cave is the only Salt Cave in Asheville made of 100% pure salt crystals weighing from just 6 oz. to more than 300 lbs. each. While at the Salt Cave you will spend 45 minutes surrounded by 20 tons of imported Polish, Himalayan salt, celtic sea salt and dead sea salts, experience a unique healing micro climate where the constant temperature is between 68-70 degrees with 50% humidity. Our two water features feed the climate with a naturally saturated salt solution (sole). The natural environment of our cave contains 84 trace elements essential to our bodies and is filled with negative ions. Breathing in the saturated air helps promote a sense of well-being. Our mission is to help people (especially children and athletes) who are suffering from various respiratory illnesses such as bronchitis, sinusitis, asthma, hay-fever, pneumonia, wheezing, cold or cough with a drug-free solution which is free from side-effects. We focus on the source of the problem rather than just suppressing the symptoms like medication usually does. While in the cave you will be fully clothed, reclining in comfortable zero gravity chairs, listening to soft music, water falls and experience light therapy, all at the same time.
