After 20 years of helping guide artists’ careers in one of the nation’s top high-end craft galleries, Sherry Masters shares her deep connections and invites participants inside the studios of leading and emerging artists in a range of media from clay to wood to glass and more. Through thoughtfully designed one or two-day itineraries, participants in Art Connections tours go inside the studios of working artists. Watching an object turned on a lathe, a lump of clay fashioned into a simple, beautiful functional object, participants will hear from the artist as he or she describes the decisions, both aesthetic and practical, that go into making a work of art. With insight into the inspiration and process, a true connection with the artist is forged.
