Amanda paints larger than life elegant birds in a breathtaking neutral palette. Her work has movement but also an ethereal sense of calm. Amanda is a wildlife artist, recognized for her accurate but impressionistic style. She moved recently from Charleston, SC to the mountains of WNC and joined NorthLight Studios in June of 2022. In Charleston she was known for her wildlife paintings over maps and charts. Currently though Amanda is creating several large scale series of oil paintings on canvas.. She specializes in tall wading birds (egrets, herons, cranes), although an occasional bear or fox may sneak in. Gold and silver leaf are often added "to illustrate the importance of the subjects". Amanda specializes in custom paintings for large spaces. She takes a limited number of commissions each year.
