Painting with Horses

A 2-hr creative session in the pasture alongside the herd with artist and somatic practitioner, Anna McCoy. Using painting/drawing/doodling as a way to slow down and connect to your creativity, you’ll settle into your unique creative process. In observation of the horses and the natural elements around us, we will explore the present moment through color, shape and texture on our chosen canvases.

Participants are welcome to paint or doodle whatever they like and will be provided optional guided prompts if desired. All materials are provided and no prior art experience is needed. With that said, if you’d like to bring your own special sketchbook, canvas, or small set of supplies, you are welcome to. No oil paint please.

Supplies:

There will be a variety of dry and wet media, canvases, watercolor paper, sketchbooks to choose from. There will be a few standing easels available.

What to Bring:

• Close toed shoes to be around horses

• Bottle of water - fresh spring water available 

• Hat and sunglasses for comfort
