Leonid Meteor Shower Stargazing at the Farm

Join us under the dark November skies of the Farm as we watch for the Leonids, one of the year’s most spectacular meteor showers. Our friend, astronomer, author, and natural storyteller Stephan Martin will guide us through the brilliant starscape of a crisp autumn evening in the mountains. This is the last Stargazing event of 2026's season, a truly delightful close.

As we look for meteors streaking across the sky, Stephan will introduce us to the stars, constellations, and planets of late fall. This is the perfect season to see Saturn shining in the south and to glimpse the majestic Andromeda Galaxy nearly overhead—a breathtaking binocular target.

We’ll also explore some of the season’s favorite constellations, including Pegasus the Winged Horse, Cygnus the Swan, and Lyra, the Lyre of Orpheus. Along the way, Stephan will share timeless star stories and give us a preview of the winter wonders on the rise—like the sparkling Pleiades cluster glowing in the east.

Before the program begins:

Check in at the will-call list (no physical tickets required) inside the Farm Store! We'll have Build-Your-Own Charcuterie boards, wine, sodas, beer, local sweets and more to snuggle down and enjoy.

What to Bring:

Check the weather and dress warmly for the cool mountain evening. We recommend blankets or camp chairs, good shoes for walking the grounds, and any telescopes, binoculars, or spyglasses you’d like to bring along for an even closer look.
