Fall Festivities at Hickory Nut Gap

Starting September 20th through November 9th, join us to celebrate the fall season at Hickory Nut Gap Farm. Enjoy hayrides, pumpkins, fresh-pressed apple cider, and the unbeatable scenic landscape.

Hay Rides

Donation based, proceeds go to Project HNG. Suitable for all ages, babies in arms are free.

Pony Rides

Donation based, proceeds go to Project HNG. Suitable for young children, helmets provided.
Sat & Sun, 11am -3pm

Sound Silo

Interactive installment featuring instruments inside of a silo, suitable for all ages.
Wed – Sun, 10am – 6pm

Trike Track

Race around the track with oversized tricycles, suitable for adults and kids.
Wed – Sun, 10am – 6pm

Culvert Slides

Famously fast, large culvert slide for big kids and adults, small slide for young children.
Wed – Sun, 10am – 6pm

Play in the Creek

Natural stream with small rope swing, suitable for kids with parental supervision.
Wed – Sun, 10am – 6pm

Local Apples

Local, low spray apples from Lyda Farm in Edneyville, NC. Available by the peck or bushel.
Available mid September

Local Pumpkins

Locally grown jack-o-lantern pumpkins as well as both edible and decorative squash.
Available mid-late September

Apple Cider

Fresh-pressed here on the farm, unpasteurized apple cider available in the Farm Store.

Animals to Visit

Pigs & Piglets

Visit the sows and their piglets that are part of our farrowing program on our working farm.

Chick Brooder

Peek inside the brooder house to look at our baby chicks. Adult supervision required.

Bee observatory

Try to find the queen in our live bee observatory in our Farm Store, from a local beekeeper.

FOOD & Beverage

• Wednesday through Sunday, 11am-5pm, the Farm Store will offer 100% Grassfed Beef Hot Dogs and Pasture Raised Pork Sausages on steamed buns with condiments, for just $5! Chips, cold beverages, beers, cider and snacks are all available for purchase in the Farm Store.
