Join us on Friday, December 9th, from 6-9 pm as we celebrate the spirit of the holiday season in a small town way. Main Street will be lined with luminaries and alive with music and entertainment. Stroll through our shops and restaurants and see for yourself the “art of small town hospitality”. Take a horse and carriage ride though town, enjoy performances by the Weaverville Dance Academy and the Southern Connection Cloggers, strolling carolers, Montford Park Players and a special performance by Weaverville Baptist Church music. The Dry Ridge Museum in the lower floor of the Beth Tilson Sprinkle Library will be open with hot cider, cookies and and Weaverville’s history on display. The kids will enjoy story time with Jill Totman, our local local librarian, and a visit with Santa.
In keeping with the charity of the season, businesses around town will be collecting donations for the Weaverville Cops for Kids program. The Weaverville Police Department works hard each year to gather toys for the children in the town who might otherwise go without. Bring your toys or donations to help with this wonderful cause.
