VIRTUAL: Theatrical Design Basics: Grades ​6th - 12th



Dive into the world of theatre design in this introductory course for teens led by CJ Barnwell, Flat Rock's Resident Lighting and Visual Media Designer. Learn design principles by studying real-world productions, engage with peers in lively discussions, and get creative with a series of artistic prompts (no previous design experience required). Whether you are interested in lights, sets, or costumes, this class will give you the confidence, tools, and language to convey your creative ideas! April 13 - May 4, Tuesdays from 5 - 6 PM EST, Grades: 6th - 12th

Virtual Platform: Zoom Instructor: CJ Barnwell. Tuition: $70 Supplies Needed: Internet connection, paper and pencil for notes.

Payment options: Tuition payments can be completed in full online. Partial payments may be made over the phone by calling the Box Office at (828) 693-0731 or in person Monday through Thursday from 10AM - 5PM. A $25 deposit is required to secure a student’s spot in the class. Full payment must be completed halfway through the semester. Students and families that register for more than one class are offered a $15 discount for each additional class. This offer applies to multiple classes for one student or family discounts for siblings.
