Have you wanted to paint the figure from life, but didn't know quite where to start? This workshop will get you going! We'll study a traditional approach to figure painting, using one model in one pose for two days. We'll cover drawing and painting techniques, some anatomy, mixing skin tones, and working with a live model. This workshop is recommended for those who already have some experience with painting. I will work with you to take your individual capabilities to the next level, regardless of how much or how little training you've had so far.
This workshop will go from 12-4 pm on Saturday and Sunday, April 1-2. It will be in my studio at 2004 Riverside Drive, Unit DD, in The Mill at Riverside (formerly the Riverside Business Park) in Asheville. Directions will be provided upon registration. Class size is limited to 8, so register early!
Bring your own paints, brushes, and something to paint on. Panels, stretched canvases, or acrylic-primed watercolor paper will work just fine. The surfaces should be of sufficient size to give you plenty of room to move around. Recommended sizes are around 20x24 to 24x30. Easels will be provided.
