String Band Camp

Do you play the fiddle, banjo, or guitar? Looking to play with others but need to learn how? Come to String Band Camp! Open to kids ages 8-17 who play traditional music and are looking to collaborate with others. Learn the role of your instrument in a string band, tips for making music work in a group on stage, and create a live performance with your friends to share with an audience at the end of camp. Enjoy fun group activities like music games, outdoor playtime, square dancing, and guest performances to learn tunes and techniques from qualified teachers who are experienced professional musicians in Western NC.

Meet other old-time music kids and make friends. Campers must be intermediate level - can play tunes on their own
