A song and ritual-based exploration of the Wheel of the Year to Build & strengthen your repertoire for the pagan holidays.

Starting this November song leader Saro Lynch-Thomason will be teaching a course at Weaving Rainbows called “Singing the Wheel of the Year:” a year-long song-based exploration of the 8 neo-pagan holidays, in which you’ll learn traditional and modern songs for each holiday and commit those songs to ritual. This course is for anyone who’s interested in bringing more consistent seasonal ritual into their lives, learning new gorgeous songs that go beyond the pagan classics, and getting a grounding in the traditions associated with the old holidays.

Gathering in a small intimate cohort, Saro will teach a mix of ballads, rounds, chants and layered songs ranging from proto-Celtic influence to middle English to new compositions by Saro and other song leaders. You can sample a layered song by Saro here (this is a song for the communal casting of circles). Students will receive practice tracks, liner notes and bonus materials throughout the year. You can learn all about the course at this link. Registration is active now, and spots are limited.
