American Folk Art PRESENTS: Sharing the Joy
November 26th - December 30, 2021
Show goes Live on our website: Friday November 26th at 11 AM
Opens in the Gallery: Friday November 26th at 11 AM
As the holidays approach, our attention turns outward, toward the sharing of rituals, gatherings, meals & often gifts. The folks at American Folk Art have been gathering artwork with abundant spirit throughout the year, ready to make your holidays bright! This year, many traditions may take a new direction; but the artists represented at American Folk Art consistently create gloriously thoughtful pieces you will be excited to share.
While seasonal goodies will be featured, the paintings, carvings & pottery have been selected for their artistic value and the satisfaction of owning or giving a quality piece of art.
Hand-carved song birds from South Louisianan Ivy Billiot, luscious woodblock print depictions of our Carolina landscape by Kent Ambler, wild face jugs by regional potters, unique table and baking ware by potter Shawn Ireland, charming paintings by Ellen Langford and Tres Taylor will be available.
All 30 of American Folk Art’s artists will be featured, many creating special offerings with the season in mind. Liz Sullivan will share a selection of seasonal vignette paintings, small enough to be affixed to a garland or bough. Lonnie & Twyla Money will be creating their wonderful hand-carved and hand-painted ornaments, in a continuation of one of AFA's longest traditions. Join in, either in the gallery or at WWW.AMERIFOLK.COM , as we celebrate the culmination of another year and prepare to welcome the coming year with joy in our hearts!
