Who accompanies you along the path of your life, who knows you deeply and stays by your side? Companionship is what we all desire out of life whether it be found in another person, a pet, or nature. The artists represented at American Folk Art, 64 Biltmore Ave, are known for opening a window for us into their lives through narratives in their artwork.
A collection of artworks has been carefully selected for the show, all of which honor our ties to others. Expressions of a desire for community, intimacy and loyalty. These interpretations include biblical references, family ties, the relationships we share with our pets and the natural world. Along with paintings by Trés Taylor and Ellie Ali , there will be a selection of sculptural forms by James A. ‘Buddy’ Snipe & pottery by Michael Ball. Come hear the Journey with our American Folk Family.
