The Seasonal School of Culinary Arts is a week-long hands-on immersion, conducted July 14-20, featuring many of Asheville's top chefs and beverage experts. Morning sessions are held with a different chef daily, and afternoon tasting sessions highlight chocolate, wine, beer, cider and whiskey (with appropriate food pairings), and are held on a wrap-around porch overlooking Highland Lake. This year's featured chefs are Mark Rosenstein, Peter Fassbender, Jael Skeffington, Laurie Bakke, Kip Lindsey, and Susi Gott Seguret, among others. The Seasonal School of Culinary Arts is one of a number of culinary sessions held in the greater Asheville area throughout the year, including the Appalachian Culinary Experience, French Farmhouse Dinners, Wine in the Woods and the Asheville Truffle Experience.
