What's more refreshing than floating down a cool, calm river during the peak of summer? Let REI take the hassle out of spending a day on the water with this self-guided kayaking float down a beautiful stretch of Asheville's French Broad River. Meet us at the Smoky Park Supper Club where the shuttle driver will bring you 4-miles upstream to begin your relaxing 3-hour journey downriver. This section of the French Broad winds with a gentle current through tree-lined banks from the Biltmore to the Asheville River Arts District. Given the gentle current, you won't need to paddle much except for steering purposes. Float at your own pace until the river brings you back to where we started at the Smoky Park Supper Club. This is such a mellow good time and a true summertime treat! Inflatable kayaks, paddles, life jackets, and shuttle provided by REI.
