Pre-teen/Teen Yoga & Art Summer Pop-Up

Through creative movement, restorative play, mindfulness, therapeutics, and self-expression this class helps to increase mind and body awareness, strength, flexibility, focus, and creativity. We will learn tools for self-regulation, build social-emotional skills, and practice a variety of breath-work and mindfulness techniques to use throughout daily life. We will use art as a means to expand and deepen this practice as we explore a variety of art mediums. Our artwork will be inspired by what we experienced through our meditations, visualizations, breathing exercises and yoga poses. This combination of Yoga & Art helps to guide us in self-exploration and self-expression as we get to know the world with-in and around us. The class fosters connection among the students and allows for a level of comfort and self-expression throughout.All yoga and art supplies are provided.
