Saturday, May 4, 10-3pm. Tuition $135, includes all supplies you will need for the class - the use of a complete 15 piece set of Paul's oils sticks, archival art board and other supplies. Just bring your lunch!! This workshop will show you how you can create beautiful oil paintings with Paul's oil sticks. Oil sticks are simply oil paint in a stick form, made from walnut, natural waxes, and dry artist pigments. With Paul's sticks, you can bypass all the gear and mess and smells of traditional tube painting. He will demonstrate how to mix colors directly on your painting, layering, glazing, and other methods. You will be amazed at how direct and fun this method of oil painting can be! Students will have a chance to explore the nuts and bolts of painting, such as color and composition, and learn to troubleshoot problems we all run into in the process of painting. This class will equip you with the knowledge you need to tackle subjects on your own. There will be plenty of time for Paul to work individually with students. All supplies are provided by the instructor!
