Beginner Backpacking in the Smokies: July 12-13, 2024

Join us for this 2 day, 1 night beginner backpacking trip in the Deep Creek area of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. You'll hike 12.5 miles over 2 days in the Deep Creek area of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This area is the home to Horace Kephart's last permanent camp, where he spent several summers. The group will hike a short distance to their campsite, set up camp, then go check out the historic marker for Kephart's last camp. The next day, hike out past three beautiful waterfalls!
