New Beginnings - Hendersonville Symphony Orchestra

John Concklin conducts our final program of the year and celebrates joy, wisdom, and hope. As the HSO looks to a new era, tonight’s program offers familiar and comforting works. We begin the evening with Mozart’s beautiful and at times gleeful, Overture to the Magic Flute. The amazing talent of cellist Miriam Smith is featured on Elgar’s Cello Concerto in e minor. This special evening will come to a close with Dvořák’s Symphony no. 9 in e minor, “New World”. As our community emerges from the pandemic, the hope is that tonight offers a long-awaited visit from old friends, so to speak.
