Intermediate Dulcimer Classes with Cheryl Frey

Over the course of Beginning Dulcimer we will be learning the Appalachian style of playing. This means that melodies are played using a noter (quill or 4 inch dowel works) on the top strings of the instrument. We will also learn about the physical characteristics of the lap dulcimer, tuning, playing melodies by ear, simple tablature and playing simple chords. By the end of this introduction to the lap dulcimer my hope is that you will be hooked forever!
