Flaw is an American nu metal band from Louisville, Kentucky. The band was formed by guitarist Jason Daunt in 1996. After a string of rough independent recordings in the 1990s, the band signed to Republic and Universal Records and released two major label albums, Through the Eyes in 2001 and Endangered Species in 2004. Breakups, line-up changes, and internal strife plagued the band for the rest of the decade, though from 2015 to 2017, the band reformed with three of their core members to tour and write music. The band released their fourth studio album, Divided We Fall, on August 19, 2016. The band's lineup frequently shifts; lead vocalist Chris Volz is the only constant member.
September Mourning is a dark culture, fantasy that resides in the pages of a comic series published by Top Cow/Image Comics and comes to life as a musical art project on stage. Created by Emily Lazar and comic book legend, Marc Silvestri, “The Complete Collection” is a compilation of the first 4 chapters of the September Mourning story. This graphic novel tells the tale of September, a human/reaper hybrid with no memory of her past. Empowered with supernatural gifts, she is driven to protect humanity from Fate and his Reapers.
The musical accompaniment to this story is a full length album, “Volume II”, released on Sumerian Records. The songs written by co-creator, Emily Lazar, give more depth and insight into September, revealing her innermost thoughts and feelings. On stage, Lazar also personifies the character of September, accompanied by her band of Reapers. Together they have performed at such notable events as Download (UK), Rock on the Range (Columbus, OH), Aftershock (Sacramento, CA), Comicpalooza (Houston, TX), AC Boardwalk Con (Atlantic City, NJ), Anime Midwest (Chicago, IL), Mechacon (New Orleans, LA) and have toured with such notable acts as Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Avatar and more.
In 2019 “The Complete Collection” hit stores with rave reviews from fans and comic collectors. The band is poised to release more music this Summer and Fall with continued touring across the United States and setting sites for Europe and the UK.
