It’s also created a great community meeting spot for wine lovers from near and far. I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved together, and I look forward to continued growth and comaraderie with both customers and our many trusted business partners. With all that sappy stuff out of the way, this is going to be one heck of a wine tasting. Ryan and Kate of Rise Over Run Wine have assembled an incredible portfolio of unique and delicious wines from all corners of the globe. And you’re going to love this lineup of wines. This one is wonderfully fresh and delightfully crisp and aromatic.2. 2016 Domaine Du Coing de Saint-Fiacre Chardonnay “Aurore” (Loire Valley, France) –Fans of Chablis and Muscadet, we’ve found your new wine! From vineyards in the Atlantic-influenced, western part of the Loire Valley, this no-oak Chardonnay boasts aromas and flavors of pear, quince, citrus, and mineral. Crunchy, crisp, and less than $15, this is a great, warm-weather Chardonnay.3. 2014 Rolly Gassmann Pinot Blanc (Alsace, France) – This uber-traditional Alsatian producer’s Pinot Blanc blew our minds when we tasted it recently. Almost golden colored, with obvious notes of botrytis, it’s fat, plump, and hedonistic white wine. Look for notes of white peach, poached pear, honey and spice. Seriously world-class stuff that won’t break the bank.4. 2017 J. Mourat Collection Rose (Loire Valley, France) – Dry rosé is an ideal beach wine, and this one comes from vineyards very near the Atlantic ocean. A blend of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, and Negrette, all from biodynamic/organic vineyards, it offers up lovely notes of strawberry, cherry, herb, and mineral. Great by itself, it’s also great with summer vegetables and other fresh fare.5. 2017 Domaine J. Mourat Collection Rouge (Loire Valley, France) – This fun and juicy blend of Pinot Noir, Negrette, Gamay, and Cabernet Franc comes from organically farmed vineyards in the western part of the Loire Valley. It’s one of my favorites for everyday consumption, as it offers up honest notes of earthy, spicy, red fruits and palate-cleansing acidity.6. 2016 Empordalia Sinols Negre (Emporda, Spain) – For fans of Priorat and Montsant, this delicious red is going to be your new best friend! A blend of 40% Garnacha, 30% Carignan, and 30% Merlot, this one soars with ripe cherry, blackberry, licorice, and pepper notes. Rich and fleshy, yet fresh at the same time, this is like really good Priorat for less than $15.7. 2013 Celler El Masroig Pinyeres Tinto (Montsant, Spain) – This is another Priorat lookalike! It’s a stellar and delicious value as well. Composed of 50% Garnacha, 40% Carignan, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine is fermented in stainless steel and aged for 12 months in French oak. The result is a rich, flashy, and flamboyant red that will please many palates.8. 2014 Porter Bass Zinfandel “Dot’s Garden” (Russian River Valley, California) – For those who prefer more of a “large and in charge” red, this one’s for you. Simply put, this is stunning Zinfandel from an old, biodynamically farmed vineyard in the heart of the Russian River Valley. You will not be disappointed by this one.
