You are in on an exciting day when you’re a part of CarePartners Foundation upcoming annual fundraiser, Drums & Dragons, to be held at Lake Julian Park on Saturday, June 23, 2018. Dragon boat racing is fast, fun, and open to any skill level. We even have a 92-year-old woman who will be racing this year for the second time! Over 700 people either watched or participated in this outdoor, family-friendly activity last year, and we anticipate many more to join us in June for this tremendous cause. This year’s event will feature food/craft vendors, a children’s area, a wellness village, partnerships with local media and other wonderful perks which are currently in the works. We have already received a lot of interest from those wanting to participate and expect to sell out all 25 team slots available. This event is to help support the over 3,500 people CarePartners Health Services (CPHS) serves every day in 18 counties in WNC. The foundation raises funds so that CPHS can provide care in the areas of Rehabilitation, Home Health, Adult Care and Hospice. 17% of the people CarePartners helped in 2017 met the level of poverty according to Medicaid standards. The foundation made sure these people could receive the help they needed.
